Review processes

Feedback processes at the Department

To ensure that the Department of Physics and Astronomy continues to be successful in securing external funding in an increasingly competitive landscape, we are implementing two new formats for feedback on project proposals. Participation in these processes is voluntary; however, we do encourage peer feedback within this internal review process.

This collaborative approach aims to help you refine your proposals, ensuring we achieve the highest possible standards together.

The two formats are outlined below:

Feedback on proposals

  • If you are interested in recieving feedback on your proposal, please contact the scientific coordinator (rikke.frydenberg@phys.au.dk) at least six weeks before the application deadline.
  • You may may specify whether they prefer a generalist or specialist reviewer. The research committee will assign a suitable reviewer.
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to initiate contact and follow up during the process.

Feedback on ideas and matching with potential funding sources

  • Format 2 will to be offered in selected cases.
  • Format 2 could be pitch sessions or feedback sessions leading up to major grant deadlines.
  • Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are interested in additional support, such as brainstorming sessions, pitch sessions or similar, and we will do our best to accommodate where we can.

Please contact the scientific coordinator, Rikke Frydenberg (rikke.frydenberg@phys.au.dk) for information regarding current feedback possibilities on applications and research proposals.
